These are high technology corrosion proofing systems,
composed of thermoshrinking tubular tires made of a very thin polyolephinic
electronically-irradiated compound and a putty having very good adhesiveness and
dielectric strength. Their use on Gas and Water pipelines simplifies and considerably
quickens the covering application. Their excellent resistance to salts, acids, alkalis,
different oils, greases and solvents, as well as a good resistance to UV rays, place these
products among the best in the field of passive protection of any metallic material to be
laid underground. APPROVED : DVGW.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Clean well the surface to be treated. Preheat with
a flame up to 40 -50°C, insert the tubular tire and extract any possible silicone film.
Start to heat the pipe circle and the joint external part with regular movements, making
sure that no pockets or wrinkles form. When a little quantity of putty comes out, it means
that total thermoshrinkage has occurred.
TECHNICAL DATA: Thermoshrinking temperature: 125 °C - Dielectric
strength : 20 Kv/mm - Thermoshrinking ratio : 3:1 - Tear resistance: 20 N/mm2 |
